What did you do on Friday night?

Sal, Salvador and I went to a fun party. There was food, dancing, singing and playing! If any of you want to go next time to this great party, call me up and we will invite you over!

The venue: Salvador's little tent in his room

All of us squeezed in there. What you don't see, is Sal and I are half way out of the tent. It is a tight fit! After eating and drinking juice. We danced and sangs songs like "Potorn" (Popcorn Popping), "Tida" (Itsy Bitsy Spider), and "Barney" (the Barney Song). It sure was a blast! Probably the best party I have been to in a while! After all the fun, both of my men pooped out! (well we tried to get a picture of Salvador pretending to sleep but because my camera takes too long, this was after he "woke up." Sal, however, is doing a great impression!)

What did you do on Friday night??

Irvine Regional Park

Last Monday, because I didn't have to work (unfortunately Sal had school) my whole side of the family went out to Irvine Park. Okay, you any of have never been there, you need to go. It is HUGE and really nice. They have little lakes, playgrounds, a zoo, a train, pony rides and so much more. We had a blast. We stayed there for 4 1/2 hours! Let's just say it was a long but fun day!
This picture of Kate I have to explain! So when we first got to the park, she was playing and climbing on this huge tree trunk and she fell. It was huge but she got a minor scrape. Well, it turned out to be this BIG ordeal (there wasn't even blood). After putting a couple of band-aids (because for Kate, a band aid fixes EVERYTHING), she was fine. However, every where we went she would hold her side just to let us all know she had an owee. She would be playing and laughing and then all of a sudden, she would just start holding her side but still playing and laughing. By the end of the day, we were calling it her gun shot wound!I just LOVE this picture!! He wanted to walk but still wanted to hold grandma's hand. It brought tears to my eyes!

Happy Birthday to my boy!

Salvador turned 2 on the 8th of February and we had a fun party for him on the 10th. I didn't have a big party because: 1. I don't think he needs a huge party because he is 2 and won't remember and 2. my child is SOOOO incredibly spoiled, he didn't need any more toys or clothes. We just had family (which still was about 30 people) and had some yummy carne asada, rice, beans, the best potato salad EVER, homemade salsa and homemade guacamole. No party would be complete without a pinata. Last year at his party, we had a pinata and he wouldn't go near it. This year, I think he got the hang of it.The birthday boy. Notice the shirt. "Lock up your daughters." I love it!His buddy, Moku, from church. He couldn't decide if he wanted cake or a cupcake so he at both. Luckily for me, he didn't finish either of the. He just ate a little of both and was off to play.

I know it has been a while and I forgot to blog about my niece's baptism. Devynn, turned 8 in January and was baptized. It was short and only family was there because she is shy and doesn't like to be the center of attention. Jake, her 7 year old brother, gave the talk on baptism and then her dad, Shane baptized her. I can't believe that she is that old. It is so wierd that it feels like I just got the phone call yesterday that she was born.

Jake giving his talk. So cute!!! He did such a good job!Sal and Austin. Seriously, Austin is such a doll! I die over him!The whole fam!My little boy! Seriously, have you seen a cuter boy???

Finally, just to leave you with one last photo of Salvador. I can't handle his face! He makes me laugh!
